Congratulations on receiving the PLT Green Works Grant for $1000. We had 12 teachers involved in this process.

School starts at 8:00 &

8:05 is tardy. 

Drop off in the morning starts when the bus drop off. We do not have staff on duty until that time.

You will need the following when enrolling your child.

Pre-Kindergarten- You will need to bring your paycheck stub for the most current month to see if you qualify for free or reduced lunch. If your child is from a Spanish speaking family we will assess them to see if they qualify for ESL.

If you are moving from another district please check out of that school first.

Mrs. Murphy

  Debbie Murphy has been a teacher at Hudson I.S.D. for 26 years.  Before that, she attended school here and has been a lifelong member of the Hudson community.  Mrs. Murphy attended SFA for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees.  During her many years here, she has taught Kindergarten, second grade, fourth grade and PPCD.  Debbie has a passion for children and enjoys helping them reach their fullest potential.

 

Miss Meads will start her 3rd year with the Peavy Primary family in the 2011-12 school year. She graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler with a  Bachelor of
Interdisciplinary Studies degree and also holds an ESL certification.
She is passionate about teaching and enjoys engaging each and every
student through hands on discovery for a better appreciation of the
world around us.

 

This is Mrs. Coopers first year at Peavy Primary. But she is no stranger to Hudson.

 She was well known for her good citizenship, grades, and cross country, running skills while attending Hudson ISD. She is constantly working in

her classroom to ensure success of all students. She pays special attention to details and creating high expectations for her students.

Ms. Cheavens

 This is Ms. Cheavens.  She started teaching at Hudson 20 years ago and has taught in both 2nd and 3rd grade.
She loves teaching children and challenging them. They are the bright spot in her day and she is the bright spot in ours.
Ms. Cheavens graduated from S.F.A. with a BSIS specializing in early childhood.
She works very hard to get her class where they need to be at the end of the year and will go that extra mile to make learning fun.

Mrs. Thomason is a second grade teacher at Peavy Primary. This is her 3rd year to be teaching with us and she is the 2nd grade ESL teacher. Mrs. Thomason enjoys bring the learning to the students by using power points, video clips, and picture cards. Mrs. Thomason graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a bachelor’s degree in education. In May of 2009, she also received her master’s in education from Texas A&M University. She makes sure that she stays organized and prepared, so that her time with the students can be used wisely.

 Mrs. Cota graduated with honors from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2007 and then completed her teaching certification here in Hudson with a split assignment between Peavy Primary and Bonner Elementary.  She began her career teaching second grade at Peavy Primary in 2009.  She is dedicated to actively engaging students in a positive, risk-free environment that fosters a love for learning!

Mrs. Allen

 

Mrs. Allen graduated with honors from Stephen F Austin State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies.  She has taught at Hudson for 8 years.  She has taught both Kindergarten and 2nd Grade.  She looks  forward every year to watching the student learn and grow!!

 

Mrs. Burkett began teaching at Hudson 4-1/2  years ago.  She taught fourth grade but soon moved to second grade.  It didn't take her long to realize that second grade was where she belonged!  She loves teaching at Peavy Primary where every staff member has the desire to watch each student become a successful learner!

 

 Ms. Ottis has been teaching for 23 years. She is a graduate of Sam Houston State University. She has been at Hudson for 8 years, with the first 6 being in Kindergarten and the last 2 years in 1st grade. Previous to that, she taught Kindergarten for 13 years and High School Family and Consumer Sciences for 2 years at Kennard ISD. "It is so rewarding to see how much my students grow from the beginning of the year to the end".
