Congratulations on receiving the PLT Green Works Grant for $1000. We had 12 teachers involved in this process.

School starts at 8:00 &

8:05 is tardy. 

Drop off in the morning starts when the bus drop off. We do not have staff on duty until that time.

You will need the following when enrolling your child.

Pre-Kindergarten- You will need to bring your paycheck stub for the most current month to see if you qualify for free or reduced lunch. If your child is from a Spanish speaking family we will assess them to see if they qualify for ESL.

If you are moving from another district please check out of that school first.

Don't wait  around, read, READ with your child every day! Yes, it does require for you to be patient. Your child should be reading 60 WPM on level by the end of the First grade year.


Mrs. Bickley

  Mrs. Bickley graduated with honors from Stephen F. Austin State University with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies and a specialization in English, Language Arts, and Reading.  During her teaching career, over the past five years, she has taught 8th grade, 5th grade, ESL and 1st grade.  She joined the Peavy family in 2010 and has truly enjoyed seeing the progress that a first grader makes during the course of a year.  She loves watching each child grow to become a fluent, successful reader

 

Mrs. Currie has 21 years of teaching experience in Preschool through 3rd grade.  She has taught 1st grade at Peavy Primary for the past two years.  Mrs. Currie loves reading and enjoys encouraging her first graders to develop a life-long love of reading, also.

 

 Mrs. Guajardo has been teaching at Peavy Primary for 3 years. She is an outstanding teacher with much patience. She is persistent at ensuring the success of her students no matter what level they are on she is able to work with students so that they make great gains in during the year.

Mrs. Kelly Johnson has been teaching for 5 years, three of those years have been here in first grade at Peavy Primary.  Kelly graduated from Stephen F. Austin in 2006 with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education.  She enjoys working with each student to help make them successful each day!

 

Mrs. Ward has been teaching 1st grade in the district for the past 2 years.  She has a total of 18 years experience.  She has taught 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, and Special Education throughout her teaching career. She does a wonderful job and is consistent every day with every child.

 

 

Ms. Weeks has been a teacher at Peavy Primary for 10 years, where she has taught kindergarten and first grade. Ms. Weeks feels very fortunate to have found students, a school, and a job she loves!

Mrs. Noto

 

Mrs. Noto will begin her 4th year teaching in the 2011-2012 school year. She graduated from the University of Texas A&M with a  Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and an ESL certification. Mrs. Noto has a passion for her students to learn through discovery in all academic areas. Her inquiry method gives students the ability to make themselves successful lifelong learners.

 

Mrs. Magee has been teaching at Hudson for 25 years.  She has taught Kindergarten and First Grade during that time.  She is currently teaching First Grade. She has a great passion and a wealth of knowledge on how to get students to succeed. She spends much time preparing her lessons in order to ensuere all students will have an opportunity for success.

 

Mrs. Stephens has taught 1st grade at Peavy Primary for five years. She graduated with honors from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2006. She completed her student teaching at Bonner Elementary as well as Peavy. She has her GT and ESL Certification. She has high expectations for her students and promotes a positive learning environment to ensure each child is successful and enjoys learning!
